For High School Students

TRIO Pre-College

TRIO Pre-College programs are designed to help low-income and/or potential first-generation college students. These students attend select Southern California high schools. TRIO Pre-College programs provide free academic tutoring, mentorship, financial guidance, application assistance and fun enrichment activities. Our goal is to help high school students enroll in, flourish at and graduate from a college or university.

TRIO Pre-College programs include:
  • Upward Bound Classic (Serving Moreno Valley, Perris, Rubidoux)
  • Upward Bound Oasis (Serving Banning, Beaumont, Norte Vista, Ramona)
  • Upward Bound RCJ (Serving Eisenhower, Colton, Bloomington)
  • Educational Talent Search (Serving Arroyo Valley, Pacific, San Bernardino, San Gorgonio, Indian Springs)

TRIO Scholars 

UC Riverside's TRIO Scholars Program serves first-generation students, income-qualified students and students with disabilities. Also known as Student Support Services (SSS), we promote academic, social, personal and professional success. TRIO Scholars draws on resources both within and outside the program. Our focus is helping students excel at UC Riverside and beyond.
